Loft & Garage Conversion
Project Overview
Cutwood Joinery delivered a full loft conversion and a complementary garage conversion at a coastal property in Seamill, engineered for exposure and designed to maximise views across the Clyde to the Isle of Arran. We provided an all-trades service from structural works through to finishings and handover.
All Trades Workmanship & Project Management
This Seamill project combined a full loft conversion and a garage conversion to create a new upper-level living space with panoramic coastal views and practical, integrated storage, while increasing heated ground-floor area. Works included structural steel, new floor build-up, high-performance insulation, bespoke sliding windows, custom VELUX units, and zinc rainscreen cladding, with internal fit-out to decoration-ready finish and full compliance with fire, ventilation and insulation standards.
The garage received thermal upgrades, studwork, vapour control, acoustic detailing, integrated storage, coordinated services and a level, finish-ready subfloor. Delivered under a single programme with all trades managed by one contractor, the build maintained continuity through supplier lead-time control and staged quality checks. The result is a durable, low-maintenance coastal specification that adds everyday usability and typically delivers a 10–15% value uplift, with further gains from improved energy performance.
