Project Overview
Cutwood Joinery was commissioned to deliver a series of bespoke joinery improvements that would elevate the interior of our client’s home. The brief combined practicality and design, calling for a mix of storage, decorative detailing, and safety features, all finished to the high standards expected of a modern home renovation.
Scope of Work
The project centred on three key elements: fully fitted living room storage, custom wall panelling for the hall and stairwell, and a new glass balustrade with handrails. Each element was designed and fabricated in-house, tailored to the property’s layout, and installed by our team for a cohesive, polished finish.
In the living room, we created fitted storage units that maximise space while blending seamlessly with the décor. For the stairwell and hall, made-to-measure wall panelling was introduced, adding texture and character to what had been plain walls. The staircase was enhanced with a bespoke glass balustrade secured with chrome clamps, creating a modern, open feel while maintaining safety. To complete the look, we installed new timber handrails carefully matched to the updated style.
Craftsmanship and Detailing
Every component was handcrafted and installed with close attention to detail. The storage was built to fit the exact dimensions of the living space, ensuring no wasted space and a flawless finish. The panelling was measured and cut to complement the stairwell’s proportions, transforming a functional area into a design feature. The glass balustrade was cut precisely to size by our supplier and fitted with robust chrome fixtures, combining transparency with durability. Handrails were scribed and fixed with precision to align perfectly with the balustrade.
Final Result
The end result is a clean, well-finished installation that enhances both the practicality and visual appeal of the home. The combination of fitted storage, elegant wall panelling, and a contemporary balustrade has transformed key living spaces, demonstrating how thoughtful joinery can dramatically elevate interiors.
