This project involved a full strip-out and refurbishment of a home in East Ayrshire, covering a complete kitchen supply and fit alongside a new utility, a main bathroom and a separate shower room. The brief was to modernise the rooms, improve day-to-day function, and upgrade the heating system to suit the new layout. The brief
The client wanted a cohesive finish across the key living and wash areas, with improved storage and usability, modern fixtures and finishes, and a heating system upgrade completed as part of the same programme. The work required careful sequencing due to the number of rooms affected and the need to keep progress moving without gaps between trades.

Delivery and project management
Cutwood Joinery managed the project end to end, coordinating all trades and maintaining quality control throughout. The sequence began with strip-out and first-fix adjustments, followed by installation phases for kitchen and wet rooms, then second-fix joinery, commissioning of plumbing and electrics, decoration and final detailing. Regular site coordination ensured each stage was completed in the correct order and to a consistent finish.
The result
The completed refurbishment delivers a modern, streamlined kitchen with island seating, a practical utility space, and two refreshed washrooms with contemporary finishes. With the new boiler and radiators installed as part of the programme, the home now benefits from improved comfort and a heating system matched to the upgraded layout.
