Cutwood Joinery – Downstairs WC Upgrade
Project Overview
Our client approached us to remodel their downstairs WC, requesting a complete supply and fit service. The brief was to create a space that was not only modern and stylish but also functional, bright, and comfortable for everyday use.
This project required a full all-trades approach, bringing together joinery, plumbing, electrical, plastering, tiling, and decorating to deliver a seamless finish.
Project Scope
- Supply and fit of all materials
- Joinery, plumbing, electrical, plastering, tiling, and decorating works
- Removal of existing sanitary-ware and finishes
- Reconfiguration of the WC layout for improved functionality and space
Design and Planning
Working closely with the client, our team reconfigured the waste outlet to remove a pipe chase that was compromising the available floor area. By doing so, we created more usable space for a modern layout.
The design solution included:
- Back-to-wall toilet for a cleaner and more spacious look
- Mid-compact wall-mounted basin with integrated storage
- Tall, floor-to-ceiling radiator to maximise heating efficiency and style
Implementation
Our trades team coordinated each stage of the refurbishment under the direction of our project management team. Key features included:
- Installation of new LED lighting to brighten the room
- Application of half-height wall tiles for a balanced aesthetic
- Laying of patterned floor tiles to add visual character
- Full plastering and decorating works to achieve a flawless finish
The Final Result
The completed WC is functional, modern, and spacious. The combination of smart design, efficient use of space, and careful detailing has transformed what was once a basic cloakroom into a bright and inviting room.
This project demonstrates our strength as more than just joiners – at Cutwood Joinery, we offer an all-trades service supported by robust project management, ensuring every installation is smooth and hassle-free.
